As soon as I saw Timeline.JS I knew what had to be done. I had to take my existing Impress.JS resume, and make a Timeline.JS version. It’s actually quite simple. You just copy this Google spreadsheet template, and fill in your data. The JS generates the timeline from that. You can see the spreadsheet I used to generate the timeline here.

First the bad news, all of the emulators tested failed to see the buttons on the SNES or Genesis controllers. On the bright side, as Robert Broglia seems to have done all of the ports, if he updates his input handling to support the Retrode it would work across all of the tested emulators.

It’s official. The Ouya supports the Retrode (and the N64 plug-in adapter) out of the box, with no special settings required. Honestly, this is huge. If you wanted a reason to love the Ouya but were just waiting for a killer app, you just got one.

It seems like an age ago that I backed the Ouya console, but I’m glad that I did and mine finally arrived today. The first thing to do? See how well it works with the Retrode. I’ll be posting up an article with my findings soon, but check out some photos of the “test equipment” in the meantime. This should be a fun set of tests 🙂
