# Web Player credits, licenses, and provenance

This generated browser test is a RetroArch Web frontend linked with the
Johnny Castaway libretro core. It does not contain Sierra/Dynamix game data.

The complete Johnny Castaway community and project lineage is included in
`CREDITS.md`. File-level derivation and pinned upstream revisions are recorded
in `docs/PROVENANCE.md`, with dependency notices in
`docs/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md`.

  as `licenses/RetroArch-GPL-3.0`.

The local launcher is intentionally smaller than the stock Web Player UI. It
keeps the same RetroArch runtime and exposes a direct two-file content picker,
plus menu, reset, and fullscreen commands. Reset uses the pinned module's exported
entry point and retains the string command bridge only as a compatibility fallback.

Its visible audio state, **Enable Audio** control, and pointer/keyboard/touch
resume flow adapt the GPLv3 implementation in Hunter Davis's
`jc_reborn/docs/play/online/player.js` at commit `6316545c0c`. This launcher
captures the actual RetroArch WebAudio context by wrapping the standard
`AudioContext.createBufferSource` boundary before module startup because the
linked module does not promise a public `RWA` handle. A native-constructor subclass
also retains the real context if a blocked initial `resume()` returns before
RetroArch reaches source creation. It retains context references and scheduling
metadata only; it does not inspect or retain samples.

Johnny Castaway and its original art, scripts, sound, and resource archives
remain the property of their respective rights holders. No original
`RESOURCE.MAP` or `RESOURCE.001` is committed, copied into the generated web
distribution, or uploaded by the local server. Users must provide their own
lawfully obtained files.
